About drug tests

The type of drug test administered depends on which drug is being tested for, how recent the drug use might be, and practical factors such as cost and ease of testing.

Urine drug tests

Urine drug tests are the most common type of drug screening.

What is the typical detection threshold for THC?

THC is the main psychoactive component in the cannabis plant. At sufficient amounts, it can produce the euphoric feelings users refer to as the “high.” Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is what most drug tests are looking for. 

• The most commonly used drug test is the urine test. It screens for THC metabolites with an initial cutoff of 50 ng/mL and a confirmation threshold of 15 ng/mL. A test will flag as positive if it detects 50 ng/mL or more initially, and then confirm the result if it finds 15 ng/mL or more in a follow-up test.
• Blood tests can detect active THC, but they have a shorter detection window, usually just a few hours to days after use. 
• Hair tests offer a much longer detection period. They can show THC use for up to 90 days, but they're less commonly used. 
• Saliva tests are gaining popularity for their ability to detect recent THC use.

The amount of THC that causes a positive result varies between different tests and labs. Frequency of use, individual metabolism, and body fat percentage all play a role in how long THC remains detectable in your system. How much THC and CBD are in Buzz Drops?

Does repeated cannabis use affect drug screening tests?

We’ve mentioned this already, but repeated cannabis use does have an impact on drug screening tests. When you use cannabis regularly, THC and its metabolites build up in your body, especially in fat tissues. It takes longer for your body to clear them out, which affects how long cannabis can be detected in drug tests.

Here’s what that means for different drug tests:

• For urine tests, occasional users might be clear within a few days. If you're microdosing cannabis frequently, you could test positive for weeks or even months after your last use. Your body slowly releases stored THC from fat cells, even when you're not actively consuming it.
• Blood tests aren't affected as much by long-term use since they mainly detect active THC. Regular users might still show positive for a longer time than occasional users, with detection times stretching from days to weeks rather than just hours.
• Hair tests are particularly tricky for regular users. THC metabolites get deposited in your hair as it grows and create a sort of long-term record. A regular cannabis user might test positive for months after quitting.
• Saliva tests usually detect more recent use, but even these can show longer detection times for frequent users. Instead of the typical 1–3 day window, regular users might test positive for a week or more.

Your metabolism, body composition, and the strength of the cannabis you're using all play a role. Higher-THC products, when used regularly, are more likely to stick around longer in your system than lower-dose options.

Do Buzz Drops have side effects?

Buzz Drops™ can have side effects if you consume too high of a dose. The standard recommended dose for beginners is one full dropper, which carries a microdose of THC and CBD. Some cannabis users go double or triple up and report mild euphoria and a light buzz without side effects. 

Anything higher than 10 mg of THC can produce some mild adverse effects such as:
